Sabrina Provencal

Hello, my name is Sabrina Provençal. I am a client centered, solution focused counsellor specializing in helping children and their families create positive change through play and talk therapy.

I am a child and youth counsellor as well as a registered social service worker with the OCSWSSW. I have worked closely with children and families facing barriers with ADHD, ODD, anxiety and neurodiversity for over 7 years. Through an attachment and trauma informed lens I offer a safe space for children and their families to celebrate their strengths, grow their resiliency and implement healthy coping strategies. I have worked with children and families across multiple settings including school and classrooms, residential and in home services and office settings.

There is a Maya Angelou quote that has always resonated with me. “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” I am a strong believer that knowledge is power and that we can empower kids by teaching them about how their brains work, how to discuss and regulate their emotions and how to advocate for their needs. I am deeply committed to providing my clients with individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each child and family. I feel privileged to have been a part of my client’s journeys of growth and look forward to supporting you and your family.

I offer 1:1 counselling as well family and parent sessions. I offer both English and French services.

Please note: If your child is 12 or under, the parents/guardians will have the initial intake, without the child being present, so that more comprehensive questions can be asked.
